An event held every month in Obuse when the number of the day and month matches. Front-runners from every field are invited to come and give lectures, and after a time of intelligent exchange of information everyone is invited to enjoy the delicious food and drink of Obuse while meeting new people in a stylish but laid-back environment. There is no "u" in "obsession," but you (u) are a vital part of Obusession. |
Running with the river; dashing through the fields; racing down the streets.
A race not of speed or competition, but intended instead to take in the sights of Obuse. At half the length (21.0975km) of a full marathon and with over five hours of time, you can enjoy the race by walking or running. Immerse yourself in Obuse while running through the ON roads which welcome around 1.2 million people a year, over 100 times the local population, as well as the OFF roads, down back streets, along riverbanks, and through fields.

In Japan once a year on May 30th there is an environmental beautification activity, but the 1530 Project intends to do the same thing every month on the 15th and 30th. 1 (ichi, or city), 53 (gomi, or garbage), 0 (zero) means to show our hospitality to visitors by cleaning up the town, and continuing to make Obuse more vibrant and beautiful. |
